Course Descriptions
Foundations of Web Design - This five day workshop is designed to introduce students to Internet Business Technology, XHTML, and Networking fundamentals for a web designer. In this hands-on class students learn the knowledge that maps to the exam objectives of the CIW Foundations exam IDO – 510. The CIW Foundations exam validates the basic hands-on skills and knowledge that an Internet professional is expected to understand and use. Foundational skills include basic knowledge of Internet technologies, network infrastructure, Web authoring using XHTML, and job skills such as project management.
Informational Site Design - This five day workshop is designed to introduce students to Information Web Site Design. In this hands-on class students learn the knowledge that maps to the exam objectives of the CIW Site Designer exam IDO – 520. The CIW Site Designer exam validates human-factor principles in designing, implementing and maintaining hypertext-based Web sites using authoring and scripting languages, content creation and management tools, and digital media tools. Emphasis in this class is on making websites with the Adobe Studio products. Each student will work on a live website in class.
E-Commerce Foundations -This five day workshop is designed to introduce students to E-Commerce Web Site Design. In this hands-on class students learn the knowledge that maps to the exam objectives of the CIW E-Commerce Designers exam IDO – 525. The CIW E-Commerce Designer exam focuses on standards, technologies and practices for both business-to-business and business-to-consumer e-commerce models. This certification addresses relationships among marketing, promotion, customer service, user interaction, purchasing methods and secure transactions by using SSL and SET, payment gateways, inventory control, shipping and order information, and site performance testing and evaluation.
Search Engine Optimization Certification Training - This five day SEO Workshop is for those who want to build high performance Web skills to the max. Skills learned in this class will impact your sites placement on the most popular search engines. The 5-Day SEO Workshop is limited in enrollment ensuring that you enjoy maximum personal attention and coaching with leading SEO industry educators.
